Viva: Level 2 - Lite Version

An Inexpensive Starter Mesh Avatar

The Lite Version (Level 2) is a great starter mesh avatar for a great price. It's only L$ 800, about the cost of a drink and a slice of pizza. For this minimal cost, you get two avatars. One is a traditional mesh avatar that includes one layer on which you can load tattoos or underwear. The other is a Bakes on Mesh avatar which allows you to take advantage of Second Life's new Bakes on Mesh system.

The Level 2 body handles advanced materials and physics with chest, belly & butt dynamics. Body shape is controllable by the Appearance Sliders.

Included also is a Master HUD which includes most of the features you'll need to configure your avatar. It allows you to turn the layer off and on as well as to add color and add shininess to it. It has a fingernail/toenail component for coloring and adding polish to nails. In conjunction to nail coloring, it includes a nail design component to really make those nails stand out. Alphas can be controlled from the Master HUD along with the ability to save alphas. It has a feature to color and configure the neck fix which blends the area between the head and mesh body (although you won't need that feature when using the Bakes on Mesh body).

It has everything to get you started including ten skins, a mesh dress, and Bakes on Mesh clothing. Overall, you'll find over 100 items in the Level 2 package.

A Great Way to Learn About Level 2: Getting Start Page

The Level 2 help system has a great "Getting Started" page. If you are checking out the demo, this is an excellent way to learn about the Viva System. Most of what you need to run through the steps is included in the Demo folder.

When it comes to trying on the Little Red Dress in the above Getting Started page, use the "Demo Dress" that you'll find in the Demo folder.

Also, the clothing items used for the Bakes on Mesh section of the Getting Started page are not in the demo package, but you can try wearing some of the clothing items found in your Inventory's "Library" folder.

With a couple of small exceptions, you should be able to follow the rest of the steps found on the Getting Started page.

I hope this has been helpful. Good wishes to you and all good things,

Sundance Haiku
